Solar PV Installer-Roofer

Green Recruitment Solutions are currently seeking a Solar PV Installer/ Roofer for a leading Solar PV Installer. Due to a surge in demand, they are seeking additional talent to help them with getting through this busy period. This is a contract role that could run for a few months through to 12 months or longer, as our Client has an exciting and very active sales pipeline of commercial installations.

This is very much a ‘hands-on’ physical role that entails working at height, installing Solar PV onto commercial rooftops. You will be responsible for installing the mounting system and panels on several commercial systems across the South West. Ideally, you will have at least one years' experience of installing solar panels on all types of roof, including slate, tile, fibre cement and sheet metal. A CSCS card would be an advantage.

Typical duties will include:

• Electrical installation of solar PV systems, including DC work and 3 phase 
• Roof-mounted PV installations 
• Working at height 
• Manual handling 

Requirements:

• A freelancer/ self-employed contractor with a Limited Company already set up
• Able to start work within a short timescale
• Relevant experience in their trade 
• A team player with a good work ethic and 100% reliable
• A car owner with a valid UK drivers licence and able to travel to jobs across the South West
• You own your own tools

Depending on the role and your experience, a rate of £120 - £150 per day plus expenses (e.g. petrol) will be paid.
