Green Recruitment Solutions are currently seeking a Contracts Manager to join a leader within the construction industry, specializing in RC Frames and groundworks projects for a multitude of building sectors.
Responsibilities:
Project planning and management - planning projects, assuring that they are programmed and resourced productively and viable
Reporting to the Directors; responsible for supervising, managing and delivering projects, on programme, within budget, and to the complete gratification of clients
Supervising site teams and subcontractors, ensuring compliance with all Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality requirements and follow the company’s framework and strategies
Developing and maintaining respectable working relationships with our clients’ site teams and senior administration, attending meetings as required in order to account on development, administer client expectations and seek to resolve any potential disagreement at an initial phase
Requirements:
A candidate educated to HNC/ HND/ degree level or equivalent with contract management experience
Must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in managing a number of sites i.e. groundworks including drainage on residential new build site, RC framework, construction projects and infrastructure works
Knowledgeable with pre-qualification and tendering processes
Thorough knowledge of modern building practices
Decent knowledge of CDM Regulations, contract conditions, programme and risk management
Skilful in cost control including actual cost, value reporting and forecasting
Must have SMSTS and CSCS black card
Comprehensive knowledge of groundworks plant
Exceptional organisational skills and people management skills, with the aptitude to inspire, impact and mentor
Admirable communication skills
An effective problem solver with logical intelligence
Must have the full UK driving licence
NEBOSH Construction Certificate, MCIOB and Temporary Works Co-Ordinator experience would be advantageous

A strong communicator who is able to flex their style as appropriate to suit the audience and circumstances. Able to bring people “on the journey” with them.
