Green Recruitment Solutions are currently seeking an experienced Field Electrician for a Renewable Energy company that specialises in delivering innovative renewable heat and power solutions, to commercial clients throughout the UK. This is an exciting time to join as the company is currently in ‘growth mode’ with a rapidly expanding customer base, spanning across the UK.

The successful candidate will not just have the experience required, but will also present themselves as a Brand Ambassador. Customer service and customer relationship building is a key part of the role. As such, the successful candidate will exhibit a range of supporting ‘soft skills’ that are required to perform in the role with the greatest impact, offering the best customer experience. Such as, being organized, punctual, and proficient during assignments, whether working alone or in a team. At the same time, you will exhibit strong ‘interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate with all types of customers from Farmers to Corporates.

Accountabilities:

  • Isolating faulty instrumentation from the power supply, examine mechanical parts for errors and problematic areas and taking corrective action to service the issues
  • Conducting preemptive upkeep on machineries and equipment by examining for efficient and easy operation and substituting damaged and faulty parts
  • Electrical systems and related equipment installation followed up with the suitable certification
  • Assist in the planning of estimates/citations as required
  • Applying good engineering and safety practices
  • Good understanding of 3-Phase Power systems
  • Developing and maintaining relations with all clients and potential new customers
  • Ensuring incessant development

Requirements:  

  • A Field Electrician with a minimum of five years’ experience
  • Qualified with 17th/ 18th Edition NVQ or City & Guilds
  • Experience as an NICEIC Qualified Supervisor
  • Experience of installation, testing and maintenance of LV distribution systems
  • Knowledge of standby power systems including prime movers and UPS
  • ECS Card, Trade Papers
  • Experience of software diagnosis and installation
  • Understanding of A/C systems and controls
  • Understanding of safe working practices and permit to work systems
  • Strong ‘people skills’ with the ability to communicate with people from all walks of life and at all levels
  • Professional and customer focused at all times
  • Skilled in dealing and working closely with internal and external customers and suppliers on multifaceted and interrelated issues constantly
  • Computer literate
  • Adaptable attitude to work patterns   
  • Must have a full clean driving license
  • Not averse to travel UK-wide, although most travel will be limited to Scotland
