Our client is one of the leading waste management companies and operates landfill destinations over the UK, giving secure and effective transfer of non-recyclable build-ups and producing renewable vitality.

Advanced landfill locales can be a major source of the UK’s renewable vitality generation, proceeding to produce vitality for a long time after a landfill closes. Untreated, this gas would make natural harm which is where our aftercare work comes in permitting for secure extraction of landfill gas, providing fuel motors to produce power which is nourished into the National Lattice.

This is an exciting opportunity to join as a Head of Landfill and Aftercare for driving the UK wide landfill, rebuilding and aftercare operational work, boosting the commitment from our locales and overseeing the long-term costs, liabilities and compliance within the restoration and aftercare stage.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Expanding the working commitment from the operational landfill business while keeping up compliance with all pertinent regulations
  • Managing the Energetic Landfill Methodology to enhance waste inputs into operational landfill locales to expand credits, minimising the cost and to eventually work the characterized destinations for best financial closure.
  • Managing the proficient move of characterized operational landfills through commercial closure into reclamation, on to full aftercare status and from there on the aftercare in closed landfill locales, in line with arranging and allowing commitments while characterizing and assembly suitable Company benchmarks and controlling cost against budgets
  • Assisting within the improvement and evaluating new plans for the landfill business

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • The candidate should be well experienced in the Landfill industry in both operations and aftercare regulations
  • Strong technical and legislative knowledge within the waste industry specifically allied with Landfill
  • Experienced managing geographically dispersed multi-disciplined teams
  • A leader with excellent communication and administration skills
