Responsibilities & Essential Requirements:

The ideal candidate will be someone who possesses/can demonstrate these skills and, can adhere to the following; in a continuous professional manner: 

  • Possess a valid HGV2 licence, Digital Tachograph Card, Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC)
  • Driver CPC ·Understand and comply to tachograph and driver’s hours regulations
  • Have a solid geographical knowledge of London’s road network
  • You must be eligible to work in the UK
  • As the client operates on a 24/7 basis, it is essential that you have a keenness, and flexibility, in adhering to time sensitive responsibilities (i.e. scheduled loading and deliveries); on a shift pattern or staggered start basis (45 hours per week).
  • Understanding of the importance of regular safety/procedural/maintenance checks and reporting; regarding a HGV vehicle (including, but not limited to loading & unloading, reporting defects, ensuring load compliance, vehicle suitability & roadworthiness and accurate records/paperwork).
  • An ability to drive in a safe and efficient manner at all times, by complying with all road legislations and expected operation procedures (in accordance with road traffic laws) 
  • Punctual, a great time keeper and conduct themselves professionally at all time (a true company ambassador)
  • Excellent social, interpersonal communication and customer service skills; with both colleagues and customers alike.
  • A desire to work in a physically demanding role, which calls for regular manual operations to be completed; in addition to the candidates driving responsibilities.
