Senior/ Principal Process Engineer

Green Recruitment Solutions are working with the top Engineering consultancy. Our Client is seeking an experienced and highly competent Process Engineering professional to join an accomplished Engineering Team and work on the design and development of challenging and complex power generation, water and energy from waste projects.

The Role:

• Providing support in all areas of Process Engineering
• Well versed in designing, managing and maintaining heavy processing plants
• Undertaking DSEAR assessments and audits, ensuring compliance with client and regulatory requirements
• Working closely and confidently with customers to develop project scopes and estimations
• Producing technical reports, calculations, development of design and construction drawings and specifications in compliance with relevant industry standards
• Preparing Business Case Reports for governance approval
• Liaising with Client
• Developing and maintaining relationships with client, stakeholders and customers
• Development of process flows and piping and instrumentation diagrams
• Assuring feasibility, scoping and design activities on projects within the required duration and budget
• Defining project parameters, producing process documentation and verifying process calculations
• Specification and selection of equipment, piping, plant and third-party packages
• Identification of key components and process requirements
• Preparation of packages for the tender process and bid analysis
• Working with and influencing technology service providers, partners, and suppliers to delight your client ?

Ideal Requirements:

• An experienced Process Engineer with a relevant Engineering degree qualification and Chartered Engineer status
• A background of working on complex process plants, thermal power generation plants, Energy from Waste plants or similar
• Experienced with planning, specification, design procurement and commissioning of projects
• Well versed with the combustion process
• Can produce mass balances, P&ID, PFD, hand calculations and possess other relevant experience in relation to the role
• Experience of DSEAR, SIL and HAZOPs
• Familiarity with ASPEN or other modelling software will be advantageous
• Knowledgeable with Health and Safety regulatory obligations and quality standards
• Good conversational and managerial skills
