Senior Commissioning Engineer

Green Recruitment Solutions are currently seeking a Senior Commissioning Engineer for a leading player within the Water industry.  The role involves commissioning high profile and cutting-edge projects. You will be involved with all commissioning activities across the board.

Responsibilities:

• Management, coordination and delivery of commissioning activities on-site
• Off-site commissioning planning activities including process commissioning and testing, for designated projects and region
• Generating project reports and commissioning reports on designated projects
• Commissioning of the mechanical, electrical,  instrumentation  and software (Allen Bradley)
• Carry out and record all of the commissioning tests,  including  hand?over trials
• The continuous updating of documentation required during  the  commissioning process
• Ensuring design for commissioning in alliance with Electrostatic discharge (ESD) engineering
• Onsite training of the client’s workforce
• Operating and addressing change control procedures on designated projects
• Provide service maintenance and design/process  enhancements on an ongoing basis

Requirements:

• The candidate will have either a BSc in Engineering with at  least 5 years of mechanical and or process design/ commissioning OR equivalent experience
• A background of working on wastewater plants, complex process plants, thermal power generation plants, Energy from Waste plants or similar
• Management skills when dealing with contractors and the  customer
• Specific Technical Requirements 
• Allen Bradley Logix 5000 PLC’s hardware/software
• Flex IO / DeviceNet and ControlNet hardware / software
• FactoryTalk View SCADA programming software using  Ethernet communications
• PowerFlex 4/40/70/700 series VFD’s hardware / ControlNet communications
• Hydraulic commissioning and fault finding
• Should have CSCS card
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD
• Working knowledge of Microsoft office products

Desirable Requirements:

• Experience commissioning within the Water industry
