Commissioning Manager

Green Recruitment Solutions are currently seeking a Commissioning Manager for a leading Energy supplier. They are an international player with a solid footprint in the UK. They have been growing at a pace and have a growing pipeline of projects undergoing construction with several nearing completions. Hence, the need to hire a Commissioning Manager.

The role involves travelling nationwide. You will be accountable for assuring each site has a suitable commissioning scheme, as well as tender documentation, supervising execution for the complete project duration simultaneously leading a team of commissioning engineers in line with current company laws. Developing latest ideas and developments in commissioning management into the business.

Essential Requirements:

• An experience Commissioning Manager with engineering qualification in a relevant subject such as Mechanical, Energy or Physics
• Hands-on commissioning skills with the ability to lead by example
• NEBOSH OR IOSH qualified
• Well versed with CIBSE, BSRIA & RIBA codes and standards and relevant legislation including CDM2015, Electricity at work act and PSSR.
• Good problem-solving skills.
• Experience of project management, dealing with stakeholders
• Experience of working with M&E contractors and management of intermediaries
• Non-adversity to travel as it may be required
• Previous experience gained as a commissioning engineer/manager within Energy from Waste or Biomass or other relevant thermal power generation industry.
• Well aware of BIM
• People management experience, well organised and good planning skills.
• An effective communicator with the ability to clearly explain technical instructions
