Green Recruitment Solutions are currently seeking a Development Engineer. Our client is a leading player within energy and power generation services.

The role involves undertaking the engineering aspects from feasibility studies through to construction.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing and controlling projects in order with the company standard and legislation
  • Ensure that all Health and Safety regulatory obligations and quality standards are met
  • Managing and advancing projects from planning and technical standards
  • Strongly interested in CHP installations, district energy networks and energy saving technology, fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, energy transfer
  • Capable of undertaking engineering calculations
  • Maintaining and controlling official lists of project drawing

Essential Requirements:

  • The candidate will have a minimum of BSc / MSc degree in a relevant engineering discipline with experience of working in a relevant field or similar role
  • Experience collaborating multidisciplinary teams
  • Sizing and specifying CHP plants
  • Experienced in creating designs from collecting data through site visit and surveys
  • Liaising with clients, contractors and stakeholders
  • Design of P&IDs and Engineering Schematics in 2D AutoCAD
  • Detailed designing energy centre, CHP, boiler, chiller and district heating network installations
  • Well versed with AutoCAD and/or Revit
  • Financial modeling experience would be advantageous

Desirable Requirements:

  • Chartered or working towards Chartered Engineer Status
  • IOSH, CIBSE, CSCS qualified
  • CADWorx Plant Professional or other industry leading CAD and modelling packages certified
  • Working knowledge of EnergyPro and Termis
  • Knowledgeable with CIBSE Guides, British Standards, BSRIA, IGEM and other industry authority publications
  • Familiar with the Construction & Design Management Regulations 2015
