Quantity Surveyor

Green Recruitment Solutions are currently seeking a Quantity Surveyor for a leading company operating in the waste and water sector. This role involves operating on every element of cost planning for the full project life-cycle. You’ll be involved with tender estimates, analysis and evaluation, pre/post contract administration and value engineering. Overseeing the financial and contractual side of numerous contracts to ensure they are delivered on time and within budget.

Responsibilities:

• Work with contract management to develop systems to monitor contract performance
• Surveying duties in appreciate of coping with tasks/ projects
• Liaise with layout, construction and deliver chain groups to capture, analyse and control cost
• Document to the industrial lead while contractual notices and correspondence beneath the principle agreement and sub-contracts are identified as essential
• Early warnings and change control management
• Managing and preparing subcontractor report consisting of orders, payments, enquiries, sub-contract administration according to the agreement and techniques
• Maintenance of commercial records
• The practice of task cost and value reviews, budgets and forecasts
• Giving assistance in production and agreement of applications for payment
• Proactively engaging into self-development and professional qualification
• Accomplish overall performance evaluations on allocated sub-contractors

Essential Requirements:

• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or Construction related discipline 
• Ideally a Chartered member of RICS or CIOB or working towards it
• Working knowledge of NEC 3 and familiar with bespoke forms of contracts 
• Numerically astute 
• Construction project experience within Process, Power Generation, Pharmaceutical, Energy from Waste or similar process industries 
• Package negotiation experience 
• The ability to write reports 
• Not averse to travel
